How we can help

If your child has been diagnosed with a developmental delay, autism, ADHD, or has other unique needs, we can assist you! Occupational therapists work with children and their families to address difficulties with motor skills, sensory integration, social skills, executive functioning, feeding, and participation in activities of daily living.

At The Link, we strive to serve children and their families by providing occupational therapy, parent/teacher training, and consultation services within the home or school environment. We hope to help children make “The Link” between therapy and school in order for them to have a successful experience in the classroom.

Our Main Areas of Expertise

Developmental Delays

When a little one is not

meeting milestones as expected, they may require specialized evaluation and care

to determine the underlying issues that are preventing them from accomplishing these goals.

Holding their pencil or toys correctly, jumping and running, or not eating as expected can all

be addressed by us.

Autism

If your child has been diagnosed with autism, you may be worried

or confused about how to help them navigate areas of concern such as school behaviors & participation, making friends, managing their emotions, or facing sensory integration difficulties.

OT can help!

ADHD

Our clients with ADHD benefit from strategies to promote sustained attention to tasks, chunking large tasks into smaller pieces, visual schedules or checklists, and assistance with activities of daily living. We can evaluate and create a plan for your child.

Feeding therapy

For parents who describe their child as a “picky” eater, we can help determine if there is a sensory issue, oral motor difficulty, or other factors that impact their ability to engage with food in a meaningful way. Our experience with direct and consulataion based feeding therapy may benefit your child and improve the meal time experience for your family.

About Us

Over 15 years of pediatric experience

Jenny Licor Blanco is a licensed occupational therapist who began her career over 15 years ago in the field of education. Her experience in the classroom led her to discover the amazing world of OT, and how it could make a meaningful impact in the lives of her students and their families.

After teaching for 10 years, she took the leap of faith and attended Barry University to receive her Master’s in Occupational Therapy. She now combines her love for the classroom and education with her OT expertise here at The Link - helping children and families make “The Link” between education and OT. As a former school based therapist, she has been inside countless schools as both an educator and service provider, with first hand experience to understand what it takes for your child to succeed in general education or special education programs.

Her experiences within the school system along with 5 years of clinical experience as an OT make her the ideal candidate to provide therapeutic services and valuable feedback for pediatric clients and their families.
